Police in Queensland responded to a shooting outside a venue hosting the Logan City Titles Fight Night on Saturday evening, leaving four people wounded. Authorities stated that reports of shots being fired from a moving vehicle prompted officers to arrive at the licensed premises in Loganholme at 8:15 p.m. Investigators confirmed that the vehicle involved was observed departing the location shortly after the incident occurred.

Emergency services transported four individuals to a hospital, where medical staff are currently evaluating their conditions. Queensland Police Deputy Commander Chris Stream described the scene as "confronting" during a television appearance. He noted that multiple people at the location had sustained gunshot injuries following the discharge of a firearm.

The incident took place at Fitzys Loganholme on Bryants Road. The location had been scheduled to host the boxing tournament on Saturday evening. Logan Mayor Jon Raven reported that residents in the surrounding area have been frightened by the violence. He described the event as a shockwave for the community and stated that officials have not seen this type of incident in Logan before.

Mayor Raven expressed concern for the victims, venue staff, and attendees. He noted that he had attended similar events in the past, which he characterized as family-friendly environments with many children in attendance. He added that the victims would be impacted for the rest of their lives. He further explained that the event was organized to steer children away from violence and that the organizer uses the sport to empower and reconnect young people.

A statement posted by Logan City Titles on Sunday morning expressed heartbreak regarding the incident. The organizers described the gathering as a community event that showcases local talent and work inside the ring. The statement added that these types of incidents have no place in the boxing community or the broader community.

The individuals responsible for the shooting remain at large. Police indicated that they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact them.
