Two adults from Nooksack were booked into the Whatcom County Jail on October 25, 2026, following a violent car theft. The arrests stem from an incident that occurred on October 22, 2026, in the 4900 block of Aldrich Road, where a victim reported being assaulted while test-driving a vehicle.
The transaction began when the victim met a suspect at a Meridian Street retail store to inspect a car for sale. During the test drive, the male driver pulled the vehicle over and ordered the victim to exit. He then struck the victim in the head multiple times. A second suspect, a woman, arrived in another vehicle and began hitting and kicking the victim. The victim stated that one of the suspects placed their hands around the victim's throat to restrict airflow before the suspects drove away in separate cars.
Deputies identified the suspects as 57-year-old David Jackson and 58-year-old Blanca Jackson. Investigators located a vehicle matching the description of the getaway car in the Jacksons' driveway. Probable cause supported charges of first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, and theft of a motor vehicle.
Both suspects were taken into custody without incident on October 25. The case involves a specific retail location on Meridian Street and a residential driveway in Nooksack where the stolen vehicle was found.
The victim's account details the physical force used during the stop, including blows to the head and pressure applied to the neck. The suspects are now in the custody of Whatcom County authorities.
