TGL, the indoor simulator golf league co-founded by Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods, announced its 2027 schedule on Oct. 27. The third season will feature 14 total matches, including four regular season games per team before a postseason begins in March.

The league is introducing its first expansion team, Motor City Golf Club, led by Brooks Koepka. This squad will face McIlroy's Boston Common Golf on opening night, Dec. 27. The Boston Common recently acquired Shane Lowry in a trade. Koepka will be joined on the roster by Jackson Koivun, Si Woo Kim, Jake Knapp, and Bud Cauley.

Roster sizes are increasing from four to five players for the upcoming season. However, only three players will compete in each match. This change reduces the number of individual games each squad must play. Boston Common, for instance, will play its first match on Dec. 27 and its second on Jan. 12. Its final regular season games are set for Jan. 31 and Feb. 23.

The second match on opening day will feature Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links Golf Club against the defending champions, Los Angeles Golf Club. These games are scheduled for the afternoon at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Both league co-founders will attend the season opener, though it remains to be determined if Woods will participate in the match itself.

The postseason will run from March 1 through March 23, though specific dates and times have not yet been released. Matches consist of 15 holes played in two sessions. The first nine holes are played as triples, where three players from each team rotate shots. Holes 10 through 15 are singles, played head to head.

Scoring awards one point per hole, with no carryover between holes. Teams possess three 'hammers,' which are yellow weighted flags that double the point value of a hole. A team can accept the hammer to play for two points or deny it to concede the hole. Players have 40 seconds to hit a shot or face a one-stroke penalty. Each team receives four timeouts per match, split between the two sessions.
