The first season of the hockey drama 'Heated Rivalry' will play in cinemas across Ontario starting next week.

Cineplex has scheduled a full six-episode marathon for November 8, with additional screenings scheduled for November 17 at 25 locations nationwide.

The theatrical release begins on November 6. That date marks the start of a series of two-episode blocks that will continue on November 10 and 11.

Audiences can choose specific episode pairings during these initial dates. The available blocks consist of episodes one and two, three and four, or five and six.

The complete season has a total runtime of five hours and 22 minutes. Cineplex is offering tickets for the full marathon at a price of $24.99. The two-episode screenings are available for $9.99 per show.

Tickets are currently on sale through the Cineplex online platform. The chain has confirmed that 43 theaters across Canada will host the event.

Fifteen Ontario locations will screen the two-episode blocks. These include Cineplex Cinemas Vaughan, SilverCity Richmond Hill Cinemas, and Cineplex Cinemas Yonge-Dundas and VIP.

Other venues for the shorter screenings include Cineplex Odeon Eglinton Town Centre Cinemas, Cineplex Cinemas Winston Churchill & VIP, and Cineplex Odeon Ajax Cinemas.

SilverCity Burlington Cinemas, Galaxy Cinemas Barrie, and Galaxy Cinemas Guelph are also part of the two-episode schedule.

The remaining Ontario locations for the blocks are Cineplex Odeon Niagara Square Cinemas, Galaxy Cinemas Peterborough, SilverCity Sudbury Cinemas, Cineplex Odeon South Keys Cinemas, Cinema Cineplex Forum et VIP, and SilverCity Thunder Bay Cinemas.

A slightly larger list of 15 Ontario theaters will host the full marathon. This group includes the same venues as the two-episode blocks but adds Cineplex Cinemas Courtney Park and Cineplex Cinemas Ancaster.

The series is based on the 'Game Changers' book series by Rachel Reid. It follows rival Major League Hockey stars Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov over an eight-year period. The characters are described in promotional materials as bound by ambition and a magnetic pull they do not fully understand. Their secret relationship develops into a long-term journey involving love and denial within a competitive professional environment. Emily Hampshire, Edvin Ryding, and Sabrina Jalees are confirmed cast members for the upcoming second season.
