Light showers will cover parts of North Texas through Friday evening, but the rain will shift west. Drivers should expect wet roads and temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. The weather pattern sets the stage for a dry Saturday night.
Saturday morning will start gloomy with a 40% chance of showers through midday. Highs will reach the low to mid-70s. Precipitation will move eastward across the region during the afternoon. By evening, rain chances will drop sharply.
Most of the area will be dry for trick-or-treating. Temperatures will settle into the upper 60s and near 70 degrees during peak hours. Only East Texas faces a risk for a stray shower. Sunday will bring warm, muggy, and rain-free conditions with highs in the mid-70s.
A strong cold front will move in Monday night. It will bring a solid chance of thunderstorms into early Tuesday morning. Drier, more seasonal air will follow behind the front by the middle of next week.
Residents will turn their clocks back one hour on Sunday. This change ends daylight saving time and gives North Texans an extra hour of sleep after Halloween.
